Rick has a Silver Pearl on his slate in the color list. Its turning out to be something else for me. Now, first off, I am not much on pearl colors. I just think that most pearls are too strong and make my baits opaque while all I want is a little internal color bounce. I don't want a clouded bait color in any of my primary body colors. I can handle a little opaque in belly colors on some baits. This silver pearl offers something I like though.
The real beauty of this silver pearl is that it is not strong....50 drops to get a decent pearl in 3 ounces of clear plastic. Since I don't want a true pearl color necessarily, I have put 10 drops of this color into a thinned down Indigo, another color in Rick's selection, and added a pinch of clue hi lites and man the magic just happens. The Indigo incidentally is a super strong color. By thinned down I mean I took a 3" chunk of sprue and put it in 4 ounces of plastic and the silve pearl and the blue just jumps out at you.
Keeping this mix transparent allows a lot of light to work inside the plastic and the result is absolutely pretty. When the camera finisheds charging I'll get a pic up.
